´ºÓêÖ±²¥ EMS is a professional, volunteer, non-transport Basic Life Support (BLS) ServiceÌýstaffed by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-B) and Emergency Medical Responders (EMR).
Members provide direct patient care to the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University population. This coverage includes academic buildings, residence halls, fraternity and sorority houses, as well as all university owned property.
´ºÓêÖ±²¥ EMS personnel must complete rigorous training, continuing education, and evaluation programs to be eligible for membership. Members are selected on the basis of experience, leadership, dedication, service and professional performance.
´ºÓêÖ±²¥ EMS has earned the HEARTSafe Distinction by the National Collegiate EMS Foundation in 2023.
