Advice for Freshmen:
WIU has a lot of opportunities to get involved in the university and meet new people. Get involved in something early; this can be as simple as attending your weekly Residence Hall Government meetings, which at least provides you the opportunity to stay informed.

Also, just because you declare a major upon arriving at Macomb in August, does not mean you are deciding then and there what you will be doing for the rest of your life. Be ready for anything to happen in the course of your journey toward your degree, and even beyond.

Favorite WIU Memory: I served a year and a half on the Executive Board of Residence Hall Government, which gained me networking opportunities with Student Government Association and Inter-Hall Council, along with other campus organizations.  It was also fun riding on my hall's Homecoming Parade float!

Family Information/Special Interests and Hobbies: I live in my hometown of Naperville, IL with my wife and my 10-year old daughter.  I am actively involved in my church, primarily participating in the choir and serving as a Cantor.  I have been involved with the Home & School Association (PTA) of my daughter's school, serving in various roles, including as Treasurer for two years.  I serve as an assistant coach for Naperville Youth Soccer, as well as a Public Address voice for Oswego Youth Tackle Football.  I have interest in sports, music, the outdoors, and environmental causes.
