MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University is excited to take part in GivingTuesday, Dec. 2, a day that encourages philanthropy and generosity to support meaningful causes.

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to inspire generosity worldwide. It provides an opportunity for friends and alumni of WIU to invest in the future of students and the University, while upholding the rich tradition of philanthropy that has been a cornerstone of WIU's success.

"Giving Tuesday is a special day for our Leatherneck community to come together in support of our students," WIU Director of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Giving Tim Hallinan said. "More alumni and friends are choosing to give through their donor advised funds, and our online giving form makes it simple to do so. By making your year-end gift to the area of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ you care about most, you help create lasting opportunities that support our students and our University."

GivingTuesday at WIU calls on the Leatherneck community to support a multitude of scholarships, programs or initiatives at the University. By participating in GivingTuesday, supporters of WIU play a crucial role in shaping the future and empowering the next generation of leaders.
