WIU Recognized by Affordable Degree Guide for Cost-Effective Bachelor’s Programs

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL — ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University has been ranked among the state's most affordable higher education institutions for 2024-25 by The Affordable Degree Guide, which reviewed tuition costs across 20 public and private universities in Illinois.
According to the 2025 report, the average tuition for a bachelor's degree program in Illinois is $82,594. WIU was recognized as one of the institutions offering competitive tuition rates while maintaining a strong academic reputation and diverse degree offerings.
In addition to traditional programs, WIU offers 13 fully online bachelor's degree programs, providing students with flexible and affordable options to complete their education. Online delivery costs range from $343–$601 per credit hour, with a total tuition cost of $41,160–$72,120 for the required 120 credits.
The Affordable Degree Guide also reviewed master's programs across Illinois, noting an average tuition cost of $28,936.
