Cindi Bricker, deputy director of the Illinois Law Enforcement Executive Institute at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University, has been named the May 2025 Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month.

MACOMB, IL - - Cindi Bricker, deputy director of the at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University, has been named the May 2025 Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Bricker's nominator noted Bricker's performance, work with and enthusiasm for WIU, saying she goes above and beyond her normal job requirements by assisting the director and program coordinators in meeting multiple deadlines and schedules, researching venues and potential instructors and speakers to provide the best programs and trainings for the department.

"She demonstrates core values through her leadership and work ethic," her nominator said. "She is not afraid to take on difficult tasks and duties. She is always willing to help individuals who need assistance and she has developed lasting working relationships through your ability to listen, care, work hard and provide outstanding customer service within and outside of WIU."

Bricker has worked at WIU since 2007, starting in graduate studies before advancing to her current position in August 2024.

As the Civil Service Employee of the Month, Bricker will receive a $100 stipend (before taxes), a plaque, a reserved parking space and recognition in WIU communications. She will also be eligible for the Civil Service Employee of the Year Award in December.

The Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month Award was established in 2010 through an endowment created by the Goldfarbs. The WIU Foundation provides a $500 stipend for the annual Employee of the Year Award.
