WIU Mourns Death of University Technology Employee

MACOMB, IL -- Timothea "Thea" Gentry-Harris, 58, a Telephone Operator I, at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University, passed away Sept. 24. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at St. Paul Church in Macomb.
"The ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University community mourns Thea's passing," said President Jack Thomas. "We extend our thoughts and sympathies to her family, friends and co-workers."
Gentry-Harris joined the University Technology (uTech) staff in November 1999 as a Telephone Operator I. During her 18 years at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥, individuals calling the main switchboard often heard Gentry-Harris' greeting. She graduated from Macomb Senior High School and attended Monmouth College, where she studied nursing.
She is survived by her husband, Steven; two daughter, Danica Gentry-Rist and Reese Gentry; seven grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters; one niece; and seven nephews.
