Davenport, IA - Description: Join us for Leatherneck Takeover in Davenport, IA! President Kristi Mindrup `00 and your WIU Alumni Association are looking forward to seeing everyone at our Davenport Alumni & Friends Pre-Performance Social and Concert! Additional guests will include Interim Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication, Dr. Rick Kurasz, and the Inaugural Director of the Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts, Dr. Anne Lefter!
Our social will be held from 5–7 p.m. at Blackhawk Bowl and Martini Lounge (200 E. 3rd St., Davenport, IA). If you’re unable to arrive right at 5:00 p.m., no problem — we’ll see you when you get there!
Guests will have access to the bowling lanes (shoes included), shuffleboard lanes, and pool table.
Following the social, please join us for the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University Singers performance at First Presbyterian Church of Davenport (1702 Iowa St., Davenport, IA) beginning at 7:30 p.m. The University Singers, under the direction of Dr. Brian J. Winnie, will be performing a variety of choral works for all audiences, and they will be joined by the North Scott Singers from nearby North Scott High School in Eldridge, IA, directed by Mrs. Lori Potts. The concert is FREE, and it’s just a five-minute drive from Hotel Blackhawk to the church.
