Foundation, Office of Sponsored ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s Award Grants for Summer 2026

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Three ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University faculty have been awarded grants from the WIU Foundation and the Office of Sponsored ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s for Summer 2026.
The grants amount to $9,000 and will be used toward professional advancement and the enhancement of teaching and research at WIU.
Professors earning the grants and their research subjects, are:
- Susan Czechowski-Moore, Department of Art and Design - Revitalizing Printmaking: Updating Skills for Non-toxic Lithography & Intaglio Instruction
- Christina Davis, Department of Sociology and Anthropology - Texting Practices and Minoritized Language Identities at Indian Universities
- Susan Stewart, The School of ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ and Marketing - An Examination of the Three-Way Interaction of Situation and Implicit and Explicit Personality
"As part of our mission to promote and support scholarly activity, the Office of Sponsored ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s is honored to be engaged with the WIU Foundation in supporting the Summer Stipend Program," Mary Pat Wohlford, director of the Office of Sponsored ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s said.
Amy Crosby, interim executive director of the WIU Foundation, said the Foundation is excited to continue this program and support the faculty.
"The WIU Foundation is proud to continue supporting the scholarly and creative pursuits of our faculty," Crosby said. "Since 1989, this program has provided valuable opportunities for faculty to expand their research and professional development beyond the traditional academic year."
