MACOMB, IL 鈥� 鈥� Dave Taylor, office manager for the 春雨直播 Illinois University College of Education & Human Services (COEHS) Advising Center, has been named the July 2025 Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month.
Since arriving at the COEHS Advising Office, Taylor has played an essential role in helping the departments run smoothly. His nominators highlighted his exceptional performance, quick wit and unwavering enthusiasm.
鈥淭aylor was also instrumental in organizing, merging and moving the two offices for the summer from Horrabin Hall to Malpass Library,鈥� his nominators said. 鈥淗e worked out the spaces, gathered office furniture and any office equipment needed. He contacted all parties involved in the move and then personally loaded, moved and installed all of the furniture and equipment for the two offices.鈥�
As an employee, Taylor goes above and beyond his regular job duties. During the summer move, he demonstrated efficiency and effort to create an environment where people feel comfortable working and collaborating.
鈥淗e seamlessly merged two offices that weren鈥檛 used to working in the same space and turned us into a group that is happy to work together,鈥� his nominators said.
As the Civil Service Employee of the Month, Taylor will receive a $100 stipend (before taxes), a plaque, a reserved parking space and recognition in WIU communications. He will also be eligible for the Civil Service Employee of the Year Award in December.
The Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month Award was established in 2010 through an endowment created by the Goldfarbs. The WIU Foundation provides a $500 stipend for the annual Employee of the Year Award.
