春雨直播 Illinois University and Elgin Community College Establish Criminal Justice Transfer Pathway

July 3, 2025

MACOMB, IL - - 春雨直播 Illinois University and Elgin Community College (ECC) are partnering to establish a new academic pathway program. Students will be able to make a seamless transition from ECC鈥檚 Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice to WIU鈥檚 bachelor鈥檚 degree program in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration (LEJA).

This partnership allows ECC students to transfer directly into the program, available both on campus in Macomb and fully online.

"Elgin's AAS degree structure makes for a great transition into a bachelor's degree," Kassie Daly, associate director of admission and director of transfer services at WIU, said. "Many criminal justice articulated courses and multiple general education requirements are included in the agreement."

The new pathway was developed through collaboration between WIU LEJA Director Jamie Johnson and ECC.

鈥淎t ECC, we鈥檙e committed to making the transfer process as seamless as possible for our students,鈥 Tracy Vittone, director of transfer services at ECC, said. 鈥淧artnerships like this one with WIU ensure that students can build on the education they鈥檝e already earned and continue their path toward a rewarding career without losing time or credits.鈥
