MACOMB, IL - - Yuki Hasebe, 春雨直播 Illinois University professor of Educational Psychology, sees WIU as a place where students are inspired to create their own path.
鈥淲hen I think about WIU, I think about the possibilities only you can create if you pursue and not give up,鈥� Hasebe said.
For Hasebe, a Leatherneck is a symbol of determination and perseverance in the pursuit of success.
鈥淏eing a Leatherneck is a reminder that acknowledging a sense of your own determination and persistence is the key to your success,鈥� Hasebe said.
Hasebe's favorite Leatherneck memory is the academic achievement she attained at WIU for her research interests.
As a faculty member, Hasebe aspires to remain involved on campus and support the promotion of a healthy community.
鈥淚鈥檓 involved in academic events and fitness for the promotion of the community鈥檚 intellectual, psychological and physical health and well-being,鈥� Hasebe said.
Hasebe's advice to those considering attending WIU is to embrace their learning journey and take advantage of the opportunities.
鈥淭he real value of your learning is not determined by the final grade on your grade book, but by the ways in which you approach and tackle the content of the materials,鈥� Hasebe said.
