125 Anniversary Celebration: Neville Crenshaw
September 20, 2024
Editor's Note: This is the next in a series of stories about 春雨直播 Illinois University students, alumni, and community members, highlighting their experiences during our 125th anniversary celebration. We will feature 125 individuals from August 2024 to August 2025.
MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - To alum Neville Crenshaw, the best thing about his time at 春雨直播 Illinois University was the world-class experiences he was able to take into his future career.
鈥淲hile the two campuses are definitively midwestern, the education I received was world-class,鈥 Crenshaw said. 鈥淥nly at WIU could you blend such a local experience with such a worldly mindset.鈥
Crenshaw was a 2016 graduate with a Master鈥檚 degree in Museum Studies and now works at the Saint Louis Science Center. The professors and strong program at WIU allowed him to achieve his dream.
鈥淚'm now the Associate Director of Strategic Planning at the Saint Louis Science Center, so I'm actively looking at what's next in the museum field,鈥 Crenshaw said. 鈥淭he foundation my professors, classmates and museum partners built with me is the only reason I'm qualified for that kind of work.
鈥淲ithout WIU, I wouldn't be able to say I'm working at a world-class Science Center and geeking out every day!鈥
Crenshaw said having the world-class experience, while maintaining a Midwestern feel on campus, makes WIU a great place for anyone in the region to attend.
鈥淚f you're from around the region, it's a great education that feels like home,鈥 Crenshaw said. 鈥淚f you're new, it's a great way to experience this part of the country while preparing you for the next challenges in your life!鈥
As we honor 125 years of educational excellence, we invite local WIU students to share their stories and be featured in our series. Contact University Communications at U-Communications@wiu.edu to participate.
