WIU Mourns Death of Facilities ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Employee

MACOMB, IL – Jack R. "Jackie" Koontz, a building service worker in ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University's Facilities ´ºÓêÖ±²¥, passed away Feb. 5 at home. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb.
A U.S. Army veteran, Koontz, 58, worked in building services at ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one son; and two brothers.
"The ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Illinois University community mourns Jack's death," said President Jack Thomas. "We extend our condolences and our thoughts to his family and friends."
